Your role
We are looking for an experienced Business Lead to oversee the organization and support of financial reconciliation processes and account management within a financial institution. The key focus is to build a robust system for monitoring consistency between transactions in the payment system, Core Banking System (CBS), and internal ledgers.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Set up and manage daily/monthly reconciliation between CBS, internal services, and processing platforms
- Identify, classify, and escalate discrepancies; initiate corrective actions
- Align account models for new products with technical and finance teams
- Design and validate accounting schemes (postings) for various operations
- Define account parameters — service modes, activity types, and restrictions
- Formulate requirements for reports (statements, trial balances, daily balance sheets, cash flow, etc.)
- Ensure data accuracy in reports; participate in internal/external audit preparations
- Maintain a reconciliation and accounting backlog
- Define requirements for integrations with processing, payment gateways, and banks
- Develop and implement Data Quality Assurance procedures
- Assess the impact of new products/features on existing account logic and accounting practices
- Participate in testing of postings, account flows, and reconciliation logic prior to launch
Who you are
- You are highly structured, detail-oriented and thrive in establishing order in complex environments
- You take full ownership and proactively resolve issues without waiting for direction
- You're comfortable working cross-functionally between finance and tech teams
- You stay calm under pressure and love finding patterns in financial data
Your Experience
- 3+ years of experience in financial accounting, banking operations, or payment systems
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, posting schemes, revenue and liability recognition
- Experience working with CBS/ERP/financial data interfaces
- Ability to work with large volumes of financial data; proficient in Excel; knowledge of SQL is a plus
- Experience preparing financial or managerial reports
